Falkirk
Writers' Circle

Guidelines for preparing writing for competition entry:
================================================================================

1. Use white paper (A4 size).

2. Type with double line spacing. (Single line is OK for poetry.)

3. Use only one side of the paper.

4. Left and right hand margins should be at least one inch wide.

5. The first page should be the title page with only your title, your pseudonym, and the number of words on it.

6. On the next page, before you start your piece of writing, you should repeat the title and your pseudonym.

7. The title and the page number should appear in the top corner of each page of your manuscript.

8. You should use a 'one word' pseudonym.

9. Do not staple your manuscript. A paper clip is sufficient.

Onto an envelope, type the name of the competition, your title, and your pseudonym.

Inside that envelope place a piece of paper with your title and your real name typed onto it. Also, type the writing club you belong to on it.
